The first cut in June

A select few braved the cold and the long weekend. 

Our theme of “Cut” was illustrated nicely by Robyn Carey’s cutwork Gum Leaf. There was cutting out of gnomes from felt (Claire), and cut plastic covered with fabric and stitch and formed into bracelets (Laureen)

We enjoyed Jenny Talbot’s wrapped fabric beads inspired by our session earlier in the year.

We also watched a video demonstration of the new Scan and Cut machine and had a look at what it could do for members of our group. The potential for cutting stencils looks promising!

Next month our theme is Layering with a session by Robyn. The requirements list is currently being organised for a hands on session.
